February is the second month of the year. And for the month of February, we will be discussing the symbol of the number two in the bible. Two signifies many different things in the bible but for this month, we will be solely focusing on the things listed: Two the Unity, Two the Son, Two the Second Chance, and Two the Acts. [The takeaway for this series is to understand that two are better than one, the importance of community, and God’s design/creation for us.]

The second part in our series is titled Two, the Son. In the Holy Trinity, Jesus is the second of the three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This doesn’t mean that he and the father are apart, but they are one (John 10:30). But because this is the order of the trinity, we will be highlighting Jesus and His sacrifice for us.

Also, God really is in the timing of everything because today is also Valentine’s Day. And what better way than to celebrate, than to talk about Jesus and His great love for us.

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”

John 3:16 NLT

As we are receiving gifts from loved ones today, we must remember and acknowledge the greatest gift that we have received: our salvation. Jesus gave up his life willingly for us.

“When Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, ‘It is finished!’ And He bowed His head and [voluntarily] gave up His spirit.”

John 19:30 AMP

There will never be a greater demonstration of love than this. Jesus paid the ultimate price for the penalty of our sins with His life.

And Jesus has given us this gift freely. “But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!).” (Ephesians 2:4-5 NLT)

So, today rejoice and be glad that Christ has given us the best gift, the gift of life. And that God loved us so much that He sent His son to pay the price even before we were born, even before we knew who Christ was.

God had his mind on us long before we had our mind on Him. So, as you are showing love to others today, remember to show love to the one who first loved you. “But God clearly shows and proves His own love for us, by the fact that while we were sill sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8 AMP)

Y’all have a great week and remember to uplift, inspire, enlighten, and, more importantly, encourage someone. If you want to reach out or have any prayer request, you can submit them here.
