As we are entering the beginning stages of the last month of the year, it’s time to reflect. This year has seemed to zoom by. But we need to slow down in this last month and reflect and get our minds, hearts, spirits, and bodies right for the new year.
So today, on this last first Wednesday of the year, sit back and reflect on the last twelve months.
Think about the things that you have accomplished this year. Think about what you planned to do at the beginning of the year.
Here are some reflection questions that you can meditate on:
- What have I done for myself this past year?
- How have I helped others?
- How has my relationship with God changed and/or have grown?
- How have I changed?
- What are three things that I have learned from this past year?
While reflecting, let’s acknowledge that progress, even if minor, is still progress. If God simply allowed us to reach this point in the year, then that in itself is a blessing entirely.
So don’t be discouraged if you did not accomplish all that you had set out to do. God is still faithful, and His promises are yes and amen.
“For as many as are the promises of God, they all find their Yes [answer] in Him [Christ]. For the reason we also utter the Amen (so be it) to God through Him [in His Person and by His agency] to the glory of God.”
2 Corinthians 1:20 AMPC
So be encouraged that God has brought you through another year. And know that God desires to work in and through us to accomplish His will here on earth. Y’all have a great week reflecting and don’t forget to uplift, inspire, enlighten, and, more importantly, encourage somebody.
