“He took him outside and said, ‘Look up at the sky and count the stars—if indeed you can count them.’ Then he said to him, ‘So shall your offspring be.’ Abram believed the Lord, and he credited it to him as righteousness.” (Genesis 15:5-6 NIV)

“And Joseph died, all his brothers, and all that generation. But the children of Israel were fruitful and increased abundantly, multiplied and grew exceedingly mighty; and the land was filled with then.” (Exodus 1:6-7 NKJV)

“For no word from God will ever fail.” (Luke 1:37 NIV)

“For with God nothing is ever impossible and no word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfillment.” (Luke 1:37 AMPC)

The Lord shall fulfill every promise that He has made to you. No matter what things may look like, His word shall still come to pass.

Abraham waited for 25 years to receive his promise. And long after he was gone, God still fulfilled His promise to him.

The promises that God gives us are eternal. They are meant to extend beyond us.

God didn’t just give Abraham a son. But He gave him a legacy. He gave him a people. He made Abraham to be a forefather of a great nation and a forerunner of our faith.

And when God makes a promise to you, He is looking into your future. He knows what will come next and how His promise will not just fulfill you, but bring Him glory.

For His promises bring Him glory.

Our promises that we receive from God are destiny entwined. They are much bigger than we can imagine and meant to last beyond a moment.

“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.”

Ephesians 3:20-21 KJV

We cannot fathom all what God is going to do because, “‘My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,’ declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts” (Isaiah 55:8-9 NIV).

But because of God’s marvelous ways, “My word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it” (Isaiah 55:11 NIV).

And just like He did for Abram, so shall He do for you. The Lord shall fulfill His word.

So, don’t waver in your faith. Don’t doubt God and His ability to do anything. But hold on to the word that He gave you.

“But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength.”

Isaiah 40:31 NKJV
