“Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day.” (Psalms 91:5 NLT)

“The pillar of cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night did not depart from before the people.” (Exodus 13:22 AMPC)

We never have to fear because God didn’t give us the spirit of fear, but of love, power and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

God is our refuge. He is our protection. He is our safety. Despite what may be going on in our lives, or country, the Lord has His hand on His people.

The enemy uses the tactic and spirit of fear to intimidate us. The enemy wants us to be bound. Unable to access the fullness that we have in God. He doesn’t want us to prevail. Nor rely on God. So, he uses fear as a tool to get us to take our eyes off God.

But if we don’t take our eyes off of Him, then He will keep us in perfect peace.

“You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You.”

Isaiah 26:3 AMPC

That doesn’t mean that we are ignorant of the realities of our situation, but it roots us in the knowledge that God is in control of all things.

God is at work even when we don’t see it. God is fighting for us (Exodus 14:14).

So, rest today knowing that your Heavenly Father is fighting for you. He is wrapping you in the safety of His arms. So, fear not!
