How are you serving the Kingdom of God?
There is more to our walk than just winning souls for the Kingdom. But how are we edifying those already a part of the Kingdom of God?
We all are servants of the Most High God. We are all a part of His Kingdom. And since we are servants of the Most High God and a part of His Kingdom, how are we serving?
We must ask ourselves these questions: What are we doing in His Kingdom? What is our role in the Kingdom? And have we been fulfilling that role?
For God has given everyone a purpose, task, gift and role. And these things that He has given us are meant to edify and expand His Kingdom.
“God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.”
1 Peter 4:10 NLT
“There are different kinds of service, but we serve the same Lord. God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us. A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other.”
1 Corinthians 12:5-7 NLT
“In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you. If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well. If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly.”
Romans 12:6-8 NLT
So, what is the gift that God has given you to expand the Kingdom of God? And are you using that said gift to expand and encourage?
Our Christian walk isn’t meant for us to simply abide in the routine of religion. But we are all supposed to use our gift to serve.
Whatever God has inclined our hearts to, that’s what we are supposed to be doing. However big or small the role may be, we must serve faithfully.
“So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.”
1 Corinthians 15:58 NLT
God has commissioned us to seek his kingdom first (Matthew 6) and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28).
So, we must actively seek ways to help his people and win souls for His Kingdom. Thus, making us good servants of the Most High.
Evaluate yourself today, ask yourself, and reflect on the questions mentioned earlier in this post. And pray that God shows you what role He has called you to, if you don’t currently know your role. And ask Him how He wants you to show up in that role. And the grace to sustain it.
For, “The harvest is abundant [for there are many you need to hear the good news about salvation]” (Luke 10:2 AMP).
And we ALL have the opportunity to share Jesus with everyone that we come across. “Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity” (Colossians 4:5 NLT).
So be all who God has called you to be and be good servants of the God Most High.
