Do Something New

Although we are in the last quarter of the year and only have two months left, God still wants to do a new thing for us.

“For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it?

Isaiah 43:19 NLT

There is still time for you to do something new, to experience something new. No time is too short or too long for the Lord. For He is looking for faithful people this season to bless.

“For you, a thousand years are as a passing day, as brief as a few night hours.”

Psalms 90:4 NLT

“But you must not forget this one thing, dear friends: A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day.”

2 Peter 3:8 NLT

Many say that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing, expecting a different result. Don’t engage in a cycle of insanity. Don’t find yourself in the same place you were at this time last year.

I implore all of you to do something different to see God work in your life in a whole new way.

The Lord is desiring to do something new in our lives. He wants to pour out His many blessings on us.

But for Him to do that, you must first accept His call and draw near to Him. Your seek must be elevated these last two months. Chase after God like never before and watch what He not only does for you, but in you.

Discipline Yourself

As we seek God like never before, this holiday season, we must come to the understanding that we must die to ourselves for Christ to be raised in us.

It’s time to allow the Holy Spirit to guide our lives.

This is not only the season to show restraint but to be disciplined. It’s time to say no to ourselves and what we want. Most have been living much of this year indulging in everything that they want. Being governed by their flesh.

But there is still time to turn from all of that.

“Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there.”

Galatians 5:24 NLT

“No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way.”

Hebrews 12:11 NLT

Give God what He wants. Follow His ways. Study and fill yourself up with His word.

“But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.”

Psalms 1:2-3 NKJV

As you walk out these last two months, ask yourself, has God been greater in me than in the world? Or have I been so full of the world that I have not allowed God to be greater in me?

I hope y’all have a great week and don’t forget to uplift, inspire, enlighten, and, more importantly, encourage somebody. This week we are starting a new series, so please be sure to keep an eye out for that.
